The Ones who Need Us

At Mindshare, we are mothers and we are fathers. We serve as scout leaders and public servants. We coach children’s sports teams, and we volunteer at schools. We are donors of blood, time, and money. When we give back, we start at the local level. We hold ourselves accountable to individuals first, and then we collaborate with fellow organizations to tackle the big picture. As a company, we actively partner with the Ouelessebougou Alliance, Primary Children’s Medical Center, and the Utah Food Bank.

Ouelessebougou Alliance

The Ouelessebougou Alliance was founded in 1985 by a group of Utah community leaders in response to the devastating drought in North Africa during the 1980s. Today, the Alliance works directly with 25 villages in Mali, West Africa, where it focuses on assisting the local people in creating sustainable solutions for three basic areas:

Health

drinking water, sanitation, vaccinations, mosquito nets

Education

school construction, teacher training, school supplies, enrollment plans

Economic Development

village loans, business training, local commerce

Primary Children’s Medical Center

Primary Children’s Medical Center began as a church-sponsored institution in the early twentieth century when the Primary Association of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints opened a children’s ward at Salt Lake’s LDS Hospital in 1911.

Today, Primary Children’s is a non-profit health care organization that serves the needs of children in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana. The hospital is equipped to treat children with complex illness and injury and is recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the United States.

Utah Food Bank

Utah Food Bank was founded in 1904 as the Salt Lake Charity Association. Over its 100+ years of operation under various names, and in various forms, Utah Food Bank has retained its commitment to serving Utah’s citizens in need. The mission of the organization is to meet the immediate, basic needs of people in Utah’s communities who don't know where else to turn.

The Holiday Food Drive

During Utah Food Bank’s biggest food drive of the year, Mindshare employees welcome the unmistakable donation bins into the office and do their part to hit the drive’s Herculean goal of collecting 1.5 million pounds of food and 28,000 turkeys for distribution during the holiday season.
