CFO Moves: REI, Craig Wireless, Mindshare Technologies

Recreational Equipment, Inc., an outdoor-gear retailer based in Kent, Wash., hired Eric Artz to serve as its chief financial officer. He succeeds Ivar Chhina, who left the company in July 2011 for family reasons, according to a spokeswoman. Artz was most recently CFO of Urban Outfitters.

Craig Wireless of Rancho Mirage, Calif. said that interim Chief Financial Officer Murray Bamforth would now hold the position on a permanent basis. Bamforth had been the interim CFO since February 2011.

Mindshare Technologies hired Mark Webb as its chief financial officer, a newly created position. The company’s recent growth had driven the decision to hire a CFO, according to a spokesman. Webb was most recently the vice president of finance at Instructure.
